I have been hard at work getting things ready for this coming Christmas season.
Recently, I was online answering some children’s email requests. I decided to write an update on how things are going here in Christmas Valley at the North Pole.
Everyone thinks we are always covered in ice and snow. That is not always true. A few months out of the year we do get nice spring-like weather during the summer months in the Northern Hemisphere. For instance, today was a balmy 72 degrees and partly sunny.
We have been hard at work testing everything that I deliver on Christmas Day that would need to be used outside. Since we have a lot of mud right now, some of my elves are having a blast testing out bicycles with different types of mud tires.
Speaking of things being delivered, this Christmas season is turning into an epic interactive toy season. The R&D department have been hard at work with all the new and exciting toys we have coming this year — like the interactive, build it yourself, mess free Zhu Zhu Aquarium. This is so cool. I have one setup in my office right now. Build customized sea tunnels and watch the robotic, tropical fish scurry and swim through them in unexpected ways.
If you are a Star Wars fan, how about finally getting the chance to build your own lightsaber just like the Jedi younglings do?
We have hundreds of new toys coming to a Christmas tree near you. You can say that toy production is in full swing and the elves are hard at work.
Another question asked a lot is, “how are the reindeer doing?”
I am pleased to report that the reindeer are doing fantastic. We have a new team doing flight training right now. Most people don’t realize that I have several teams of reindeer. Their names are actually their position in the lineup in front of the sleigh. I kept the names of the original eight reindeers for those positions. The nineth position is reserved for descendants of Rudolph with their powerful nose.
I have started checking the list. I usually start looking in on children around this time of year. With school about to start back, it sometimes gets very difficult to be good. Getting up early again, doing chores, homework, all are things that seem to get kids in trouble about this time of year.
I wanted to also take this opportunity to remind all of the kids that it may not be Christmas season yet, but it is coming soon. Please do your best to be good. So, I can make sure I have the MOST kids on my NICE list this year.
Time for Ol’ Santa to get back to work. I’ve got a couple of new things brewing in toy development. See you soon. Merry Christmas, even in July.
