Franklin Eugene Sadberry, 82, of Parrish, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at his residence. He was President of UMWA Local 1288 and was on the Walker County Civil Service Board.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 5 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 7 pm. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Odom Memorial-Gray Cemetery. Steve Cannon will officiate.Â
Mr. Sadberry is preceded in death by his Wife, Jimmie Goswick Sadberry; Parents, Virgil and Lillian Sadberry; Granddaughter, nStacey Lynn Williams.
He is survived by his Daughters, Barbara Williams (Tony), Teresa Works (Darrell), and Carol Woods (Greg); Son, David Sadberry (Terrie); Sisters, Anita Ruth Wooley and Bertha Odom (Ken); Brothers, Bill Sadberry, Jerry Sadberry, and Tommy Sadberry; Grandchildren, Chris Williams (Grace), Alesha Phillips (Haven), Joshua Cagle (Adele), Nick Cagle (Meagan), Jake Williams (Samantha), Autumn Mummey (Trent); Bonus Grandchildren, Trent Lineberry (Jessica) and Autumn Lawson (Nathan); Great Grandchildren, Logan Williams, Levi Williams, Jemma Cagle, Andrew Cagle, Anthony Phillips, Aiden Phillips, Drew Mummey, Aubrey Mummey, Grant Works.
Pallbearers will be Chris Williams, Nick Cagle, Jake Williams, Trent Mummey, Haven Phillips, Trent Lineberry, Logan Williams, Anthony Phillips, Levi Williams and Chuck Lineberry.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Cagle and great grandchildren.
