Jasper motorsports team headed to World of Wheels

A Jasper racing team has announced it will have cars participating in the annual World of Wheels show coming up in Birmingham.

Evans Motorsports, based in the Boldo community, will have two cars at the show, which is scheduled for Feb. 3-5 at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center Exhibition Center.

The team has participated in the vehicle showcase in the past. Genia Evans said the event was a lot of fun and put their cars in front of large crowds.

“It’s good for us, but it’s even better for our sponsors,” she said. “This is a way that we can sort of pay them back for all their support. It puts their names and logos front and center at a big event.”

Evans said the racing team is currently accepting new sponsors that would debut at the World of Wheels, but also be featured on their cars throughout their racing seasons which takes them all over Alabama and also into other areas of the southeast. Sponsorships range from $500 to $2,000. For more information about Evans Motorsports, contact Genia Evans at 205-471-8505.
