Bevill softball opens season 12-0

With two walk-off wins over Andrew College on Wednesday, the Bevill State Bears are off to a 12-0 start for the season.

Jessy Aston got the win in Game 1, pitching seven innings with eight hits, five earned runs and five strikeouts. At the plate, Santana Clark went 2 for 4 with three runs scored and an RBI, Addison Rose hit a double with two runs scored, Carlie Burnham had a double with with an RBI and Katie Puckett hit a homerun with four RBIs.

Kyla Edmondson got the Game 2 win, pitching seven innings with nine hits, no earned runs and two strikeouts. Offensively, Puckett went 3 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI, Brynn Repicky was 2 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs, Rachel Whitmer went 2 for 3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI and Burnham hit a double.
