Jaxon Hart, an 8th grader at Sumiton Middle School, is The Community Journal Outstanding Student of the Week.
Hart serves in SGA (Student Government Association) at SMS. He is also a member of the Beta Club. He has played football and baseball for two years at SMS and wrestled for the DHS high school wrestling team for two years.
@Jaxon has set an example for our students since being at SMS,” Principal Chris Stephenson said. “His work ethic and compassion is evident daily. He is always willing to help others and serve in leadership roles at SMS. His leadership and commitment has been evident in the classroom and in athletics.”
