Jasper Career Center to host job fair for the Arc

The Jasper Career Center is hosting a job fair for The Arc of Walker County, a nonprofit, volunteer-based membership organization that advocates for the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through educational and informational opportunities. Available positions include: 
• Direct Support Professional 
• Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) 
A $500 hiring bonus after 6 months of employment is offered. 
Candidates for the Direct Support Professional position must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Alabama driver’s license, and an insurable driving record. 
Candidates for the QDDP position must have a Bachelor’s Degree in human sciences or related field and at least one year of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, a current Alabama driver’s license, and an insurable driving record. 
The job fair will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Jasper Career Center. To learn more, contact:

The event is free and open to the public. 
The Alabama Career Center System is part of the Employment Services Division of the Alabama Department of Labor. The Alabama Career Center System (ACCS) is part of the Alabama Department of Labor’s Employment Services Division. The ACCS operates 56 Career Centers throughout the state, touching all 67 counties. Career Centers provide free services for both jobseekers and employers, including résumé and interview preparation services, educational and vocational training, along with workforce development services and wage assistance.
