The Jasper Police Department welcomed new recruits on Friday.
Jasper Police Chief J.C. Poe pinned badges on new recruits Russell Jean, Skylar Norris, Emma Lovett, Mason Drummond and Christion Sanders. These recruits will be attending the police academy beginning next week.
Chief Poe and Assistant Chief Paul Tucker welcomed the new employees and talked with them about their expectations and the standards of the department.
