Wednesday morning, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Harrison Shipman Road.
Deputy Matt Handley obtained the search warrant after a drug investigation.
Investigators made two arrests and seized drug paraphernalia and prescription medication.
Jason Eric Johnson, age 28 of Jasper, was arrested for Illegal Possession of Prescription Medication, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Johnson is wanted in Georgia on a warrant with nation-wide extradition. Johnson also had outstanding warrants with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, Jasper Police Department, Adamsville Police Department, and Trussville Police Department.
Justin Cody Johnson, age 36 of Nauvoo, was arrested on a warrant with the Jasper Police Department.
Stolen vehicle recovered
Later Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Narcotics Division recovered a 2020 Ford T350HD that was reported stolen from Home Depot.
The vehicle was recovered in the Sleepy Holler campground off of Buttermilk Road.
The Jasper Police Department Detective Division assisted in the investigation.
