Four arrested in Pineywoods on multiple felony charges

Four people have been arrested by the Walker County Sheriff’s Office after being indicted on felony charges. 

Patsy Cooper Wyres, James Timothy Wyres, Amanda Lynn Wyres, and Anthony James Wyres were taken into custody at their residence in Pineywoods Friday evening.

Patsy Cooper Wyres indicted on two counts of Attempted Murder, seven counts of Aggravated Child Abuse, three counts of DV Strangulation, and one count of Tampering with a Witness.

James Timothy Wyres indicted on three counts of Sex Abuse 1st Degree and two counts of Aggravated Child Abuse. 

Amanda Lynn Wyres indicted on two counts of Attempted Murder, three counts of Aggravated Child Abuse and three counts of DV Strangulation. 

Anthony James Wyres indicted on three counts of Aggravated Child Abuse, one count of DV Strangulation and two counts of Tampering with a Witness. 

All four defendants are scheduled to appear in court Monday. 

“We appreciate the hard work of Investigator Bryant Parkhurst for his dedication in this case,” Sheriff Nick Smith said.
