PARRISH – The Town of Parrish officially has a new municipal judge after a swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday evening.
Steven Gravalee, joined by his family, was sworn in during Tuesday’s Parrish Town Council meeting.
Gravalee is an attorney from Dora who has previously served as a backup judge for Parrish.
“I’m happy to be the judge in Parrish now,” Gravalee said. “Being a municipal judge is all about serving that community. I’ll do my best to serve Parrish well.”
Mayor Bubba Cagle said the town is happy to have Gravlee as its judge.
“He has done a good job in the past when he’s had to fill in, and I know he’s going to do a great job in this role,” Cagle said.
Paving project approved
The council also approved a paving project on Williams Subdivision Road. The approved bod was from Central Alabama Asphalt for $49,960. The project will be paid for by American Rescue Plan funds.
