The Parrish Splash Pad is now open. The opening had been delayed due to a few repairs needed after a water leak was detected while preparing to open the facility.
The repairs are complete, and the splash pad opened to the public on Monday.
“We are happy to have the splash pad up and running,” Mayor Bubba Cagle said on Monday. “This is a big draw to our town from surrounding areas. We love to see big crowds out there.”
The splash page is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $5 per person ages 3 and over. Check the Parrish Parks and Recreation Facebook page weekly for any changes in the schedule. The facility is available to rent on Wednesday and Sunday. Contact Parrish Town Hall at 205-686-9928 for more information.
Cagle said the town is also planning on hiring part-time workers at the splash pad through the rest of the summer. Anyone interested can apply at town hall.
