By James Phillips, The Community Journal

PARRISH – Martha Hice has been approved as the new District 2 council member by the Parrish Town Council.

The decision was made at the Parrish Town Council meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 14, and Hice is set to be sworn into office on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Mayor Bubba Cagle said Hice is a lifelong resident of Parrish who has always been actively involved in the community.

“With her experience and dedication to the community, she will make a positive impact as the new District 2 council member,” Cagle said.

Hice will be replacing Jeremy Windham, who recently moved out of the town limits. Although she was not present for the meeting, Hice’s appointment was met with confidence and support from the mayor and council.

Hice’s term will extend until 2025.
