Drug arrests made in west Walker County

The Walker County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, K-9, Narcotics and Patrol divisions, along with Drug Task Force members from the Sumiton Police Department, executed search warrants and arrest operations on Friday on Dogtown Road and Mill Creek Road on the west side of the county.

 The operations, led by Narcotics Investigator Jim Browne, resulted in two arrests and the seizure of Methamphetamine, a firearm and drug paraphernalia.

Patsy Shiral Pair, 57, of Nauvoo was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Steven Gage Busby, 30, of Nauvoo was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, certain persons prohibited from possessing pistol, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear on a traffic violation. Busby is also under investigation for allegedly exchanging gunfire with a neighbor and domestic violence.

Other highlights and arrests from the Walker County Sheriff’s Office in recent days include:

Jason Alexander McCurry-Alias arrested on a warrant (Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance)

Joshua Ryan Levan was arrested and charged with second-degree receiving stolen property. 

The Patrol Division has answered 390 calls for service from Aug. 14-21. The division also made 16 arrests and 69 conducted traffic stops.
