Two arrested after vehicle break-ins

Saturday around 4:00 a.m. a suspect broke into two vehicles at a residence on Tate Road off of Tommy Robinson Road. The victim discovered the theft and contacted the Walker County Sheriff’s Office. The victim had video surveillance footage of the theft.

Deputies patrolled the area and found a suspicious white male walking in the area. The subject fled and deputies pursued but lost him in the woods.

The victim was later able to track one of the electronic devices stolen from his vehicle. The location was relayed to Patrol Captain Josh Key.  

Sgt. Josh Richardson, Deputy Matt Handley and Deputy Brandon Pugh followed up on the information provided and were able to locate the suspect at Dollar General in Boldo.

The deputies, along with Investigator Jason Bridges, then went to a residence on Tommy Robinson Road.

Two suspects were taken into custody and the victim’s property was recovered. One of the suspects was identified as the one that ran from deputies earlier Saturday morning.

Deputy Brandon Pugh will be leading the investigation and signing warrants on the individuals.

Jacob Scout Bowman, 22, of Jasper, was arrested for two counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, Fleeing or Eluding a Law Enforcement Officer, Theft of Property 3rd, and Illegal Possession of Prescription Medication.   

Hadyn Ryan Nix, 22, of Jasper, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The suspects are also under investigation for additional vehicle thefts in the Jasper city limits not far from where Saturday’s theft occurred.
