The Town of Oakman is hosting an Independence Day celebration today (July4).
The event will kick off at 5p.m.
The town has been inviting people via its Facebook page, saying “Spread the word! We will be having a fantastic 4th! The Doaty’s will be there with their BBQ…Ryan-“The Corn Guy”, Gypsy Teas, New Bethel Baptist with Lemonade, Nick and Charlie’s Angel’s with Fish, Spiedies and a few more.”
The page also recently updated to say, “We will have ‘Smores on the 4th’ for every child in attendance.”
The even will also feature a Kids Zone with free rides, jumpy houses, face painting and free gifts at the town’s tent. There will also be free water balloons.
The event will also have carnival games for $5 with a guaranteed win.
The night will end with a fireworks show presented by the Oakman Fire Department.
